Introducing, the brand new Galaxy S21 series of smartphones. We have the Galaxy S21, the Galaxy S21+, and also the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The prices, when comparing the US launch price between the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy S21, has dropped by USD $200 across all 3 phones. That’s quite a significant drop.
Now, for us Malaysians, the Galaxy S21 series of smartphones start from RM3,699 and scales up all the way to an eye-watering RM5,899 for the highest-end Galaxy S21 Ultra with 512GB of storage. But for most people, I suppose the RM5,299 variant is already enough with 256GB of storage, honestly. Even for me, 128GB is plentiful.
Anyway, the prices are as below:
- Galaxy S21 with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage @ RM3,699
- Phantom Violet
- Phantom Gray
- Phantom White
- Phantom Pink
- Galaxy S21+ with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage @ RM4,299
- Phantom Violet
- Phantom Black
- Phantom Silver
- Galaxy S21 Ultra with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage @ RM5,299 | 16GB RAM + 512GB storage @ RM5,899
- Phantom Silver
- Phantom Black
Honestly speaking, the specs for the RM5,899 is most probably going to be unutilized by a majority of users. Yes, there’s no microSD card slot – but I think even 256GB is already more than enough since we’re living in an age of streaming and on-demand media consumption.
Either way, the prices start from RM3,699 which is RM100 higher than last year’s Galaxy S20, but comes with a plethora of upgrades – like 256GB storage, 5G connectivity (useful later), and also a much sleeker design overall.
