Kingston Technology has announced its embedded memory solutions will continue to support NXP’s latest offering.
NXP specializes in providing complete mobile processing solutions in the form of small PCBs with SoC, RAM, storage, and more (Take Raspberry Pi as a reference). As such, Kingston’s involvement in handling and providing embedded multimedia cards (eMMC) already happened since the i.MX 6 generation of products, therefore the latest announcement is essentially the 3rd generation.
With edge computing, 5G, and IoT devices on the rise in recent years, for any device that wants to be certified as a smart device, it must at least be operating in the same way as a traditional computer, albeit in a very small form factor. Kingston’s continuous effort in supplying memory products to other industry partners signifies its long-standing position and highly remarkable product quality is still present and being maintained constantly.
