DJI Malaysia has announced the arrival of the new DJI Air 2S that offers everything from superb flight performance to high-quality camera lenses for the clearest footage possible.
Armed with the latest 1-inch sensor that is even larger than the one in the Mavic Air 2, the drone’s lens is capable of taking still images at 20MP or recording the footage at 5.4K/30fps and 4K/60fps modes in either H264 or H265 formats into the internal 8GB storage. Additional video color profiles including 8bit, D-Log 10bit, and HLG 10bit are available as well to reduce post-production work along the way. Digital zooming can be used to capture far objects without getting too close that can go up to 8X zoom. The following pre-programmed modes will also allow both newbies and professionals to get the most desired footage with the least amount of knowledge and effort.
- MasterShots – 3 modes of Proximity, Portrait, and Landscape for shooting aerial footage which the drone smartly plans its flight route by its own
- FocusTracks – Draw a square on the mobile device and either designate it as Point of Interest 3.0 for automatic flight path, ActiveTrack 4.0 that follows the target and keep it in the frame, or SpotLight 2.0 where pilots take movement into their own hands
- QuickShots: Staple features of Rocket, Circle, Dronie, Helix, Boomerang, Asteroid, and more
- Hyperlapse: Shoot time-lapse video with ease while the digital stabilization keeps footage of 4K resolution and below smooth and silky
About the drone itself, it is capable of traveling up to 12km from the pilot while still providing a stable video feed powered by the battery that can provide up to 31 minutes of air time. The automatic obstacle sensor has also been upgraded to be smarter than ever to prevent damage thanks to the new Advanced Pilot Assistance System (APAS) 4.0 system.
