Local satellite TV service provider Astro just announced that they are bringing in the famous Disney+ Hotstar service into Malaysia for the very first time.
Signing an exclusive distribution contract, Astro will be opening the streaming service starting June 1 and when the day comes, all customers that have subscribed to the Movies Pack package will be able to get more than 800 films and 18,000 episodic contents from just an additional RM5 per month while non Movies Pack subscribers can still get them via other bundles. On a side note, Ultra and Ulti box owners will need to wait a bit as Astro is working to integrate the Disney+ Hotstar service into them as well.
With many shows consisting of Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic, FX, 20th Century Studios, and many more, I guess it’s totally worth the RM5 if you are already watching movies and the likes through Astro.
