Surely the news have been broken out and caused an earthquake with the magnitude of over 9000 on the Richter scale.
The one big reason is that well, we all don’t know what Key Lime Pie is – at least for me though. I never even heard of the word “key lime pie” before, and I first came across this dessert when the term came over to the Android rumours’ scene.
Another thing to note is that on the Android KitKat’s website, it is explicitly stated that the next version of Android is Android 4.4, instead of the long rumoured Android 5.0.
This is also the first ever version of Android that is using a trademarked dessert’s name, and also feature its iconic shape (in this case, the chocolate-covered wafer biscuit bar). Amazing feat pulled out by Google and Nestle, and indeed unexpected by everyone.
As Google released the video about Android 4.4 KitKat, it accidentally showed off glances of the Nexus 5, which is made by LG too.

As pointed out by Android Police, the picture (taken from the video) above posed the “mystery Nexus” and the Nexus 4 side by side, with the most obvious differences being shown. Unfortunately, the video was taken down minutes after the discovery.
The camera on the mystery Nexus device is definitely a super large one, with the easily recognizable and reflective nexus word at back of the device. Also pointed by Android Police, the LG “smile” logo on the Nexus 4 is proportional to the logo shadows on the mystery Nexus.
Maybe Google will announce the next Nexus somewhere before the holiday seasons soon, and then we’ll get have a full coverage on it.
