Acer has revealed that they are adding a total of 4 new Chromebook models totaling up to 6 SKUs with large displays to meet a range of usage across productivity, education, and entertainment.
We’ll start things off with the simple and budget Chromebook Spin 314 2-in-1 convertible featuring a special OceanGlass touchpad made entirely out of plastic wastes that contribute to the environmental sustainability effort. Featuring the latest and affordable Intel CPU, 14-inch FHD IPS touchscreen, and 10-hour battery alongside a combination of USB-C 3.2, USB-A 3.2, HDMI, and microSD ports, this device is dedicated to the students and super light task office workers.
Moving up the tier list is the Chromebook 514 taking the route of ultraportable to promote an efficient and responsive experience. Running a MediaTek Kompanio 828 processor, it is definitely more power-saving than a standard x86 CPU which lasts up to 15 hours while handling entertainment streaming or creating light content. The 14-inch display with optional touch and narrow bezel holds it well against traditional Windows laptops from the aesthetic aspect and combining decent horsepower and long-lasting battery, it is the most all-rounded device out of the four.
Continuing the same Chromebook 514 family is the Spin/Enterprise Spin version, a 14-inch convertible that packs great power as it is powered by up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU and houses an FHD MIPI webcam with blue glass filter and noise-reduction technology. That’s right. This laptop is geared towards those who are doing video conferencing all day in which the 2-in-1 form factor allows users to work with the right form factor – laptop, tablet, tent, or display. The dual upward-facing speakers and dual array microphone also make short work of video calls for clear audio capture and output.
Still not enough for you? Then the Chromebook 515/Enterprise 515 that packs a 15.6-inch display alongside a great combination of computing parts of up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU with Xe Graphics, a maximum of 16GB RAM plus 512GB PCIe storage. It also has other goodies such as DTS Audio, webcam shutter, and a variety of I/O ports consisting of 2x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI, microSD, and of course, Intel WiFi 6. For the power users that frequent ChromeOS, be sure to look forward to this device.
