Long have we waited and Samsung does not disappoint once again through the latest global official release of the One UI 4 update. Let’s get to the main highlights first with the nitty-gritty details reviewing coming in soon, shall we?
First and foremost, the new One UI 4 sports a familiar yet refreshing design that provides a whole new range of Colour Palettes to choose from, and users are capable of altering even the smallest items from icons and menus to buttons and backgrounds in addition to a fair overhaul towards widgets that offers customization like never before. To bring the personalization game even further, additional emojis, GIFs, and stickers can now be accessed directly through the Samsung Keyboard.
As Google unlocks more options and control towards the user in terms of security and privacy, Samsung is also following up with their own ways by notifying users through a new privacy dashboard on events such as app attempting to access your camera or microphone which you may or may not allow access directly through the dashboard panel. Users can also easily find out how many apps out of all of them are given permission to access various hardware within the device.
Lastly, the One UI 4 is supported not only by Samsung themselves but also by a bunch of 3rd party app developers and partners to ensure the mobile applications are tailored towards what Samsung is trying to bring to the users. As such, devices that are not smartphones including Samsung’s line of tablets, smartwatches, and even the latest foldable/flippable, have their own optimized version of apps dedicated for them.
Neat, When can I get them?
Good news if you are rocking one of the Galaxy S21 series smartphones because the first round of availability goes exclusively towards them but be assured that the update will soon reach the A series, Z series, and also some of the older lineups of the past.
