Dell Technologies has announced that they have shaken hands with Amazon Web Services to bring the brand’s cyber recovery tools to the cloud environment.
The new Dell EMC PowerProtect Cyber Recovery for AWS service is capable of delivering multiple layers of protection that confidently provides the option to recover operations quickly after a cyberattack which ransomware is the most prominent nowadays. By using a specially crafted solution of backing customer’s critical data away from the surface and isolating it in a secure and automated air gap, all of this sensitive information can be protected since, unlike other conventional backup solutions, this air gap is also stricter in the context of locking down management interfaces, demanding multiple security credentials for access on top of Multi-Factor Authentication to make sure the legitimacy of the recoverer.
According to internal research and reports, 67% of global companies lack the confidence to recover from a cyberattack when the era of cloud computing and on-premises environments are the go-to IT infrastructure and without proper defenses, any business can just immediately go “poof” and be gone from the industry should any of the business-critical information gets maliciously accessed.
