realme has premiered its GT 2 series smartphones with a punch by revealing the 3 special “world’s 1st” implementations found within the realme GT 2 Pro. Let’s go over those.

World’s 1st #1: Bio-Polymer Material

realme GT 2 Pro Design

With more tech brands heeding the call to designs and manufacturing processes that are more environmentally friendly, the realme GT 2 Pro features a paper-inspired concept that speaks minimalistic and sustainability-focused that are created by Naoto Fukasawa, a renowned Japanese designer. Specifically, the smartphone’s back cover utilizes a bio-polymer material that can serve as an alternative to raw materials derived from fossils and this SABIC bio-based material has already been certified by standard setters including REACH, RoHS, ISCC International Sustainability and Carbon Certification, and EPEAT.

Other than that, the new box design reduces the amount of plastic ratio down from the previous 21.7% to a whopping 0.3%.

    World’s 1st #2: 150° Ultra-Wide Camera with Fisheye Mode

Probably less impactful for the average user but more the better for fellow photographers, the realme GT 2 Pro is the 1st smartphone to offer a 150° ultra-wide camera that is capable of expanding the FOV by 278%. On the other hand, depth sensors may just be a thing of history as the Fisheye Mode on the GT 2 Pro can produce quite a depth of field effect to create a more visually appealing photo.

    World’s 1st #3: Antenna Array Matrix System

realme GT 2 Pro 5G Signal Stability

For this one, the Antenna Array Matrix System is actually 3 technologies combined into 1 solution being a HyperSmart, Wi-Fi Enhancer, and 360° NFC. For the former, the HyperSmart uses a “12 wrap-around antenna” design that covers all sides of the phone while supporting all forms of mainstream bands in all directions to allow the smartphone to pick the antenna with the strongest signal, eliminating the dead zone problem through a simple yet very physical way.

On the other hand, the Wi-Fi Enhancer, as the name suggests, provides up to 20% better Wi-Fi signal strength thanks to the symmetrical antenna design compared to the conventional asymmetrical pattern.

Lastly, the NFC tech has been improved to support a 360° pattern through the integration of the function into the top two cellular antennas that improve the sensing area by as much as 5x and an extra 20% sensing distance.

With all things said, will the realme GT 2 Pro wear a premium price tag thanks to all these techs? Let us know in the meantime while we wait for the official news next month.
