For around the price of RM4,500, ASUS has a few laptops to offer. However, two laptops that caught our attention were the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14X N7400P and also the ASUS Zenbook 14X UX5400E. These are two great laptops but they offer completely different sets of features at about the same starting price.
So, in today’s comparison, we’re pitting these two laptops against each other to see which one you should actually buy for yourself. We go through a lot of different aspects when comparing these two laptops – so grab a drink and perhaps a snack.
The reason why we did this comparison is because of the price – as mentioned earlier. The starting prices of these two laptops are:
- ASUS Vivobook Pro 14X OLED N7400P @ RM4,799
- ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED UX5400E @ RM4,999
These two machines do come with a lot of specs difference too, particularly the three core components – CPU, GPU, and RAM. That means the expected performance out of these two laptops will vary greatly as well.
But that’s not all – there is a reason why the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED UX5400E is priced so high – and that is because of the ScreenPad 2.0. Love it or hate it – it’s baked into the laptop.
However, the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14X OLED N7400P also comes with a fancy feature – the virtual ASUS Dial. We’ve already reviewed the physical version of the ASUS Dial but not having a physical dial means that the feeling and the tactility of actually touching and spinning the wheel with haptic feedback is going to be a pain to use.
We also go through a few other points in this comparison – like the design of the laptops, the size & weight, the (lack of) upgradability, and also our personal picks on which laptop we should buy at this price point.
