As the telco industry prepares to scale up the commercial availability of 5G in Malaysia, U Mobile is taking a step ahead today by announcing a couple of new 5G-ready prepaid plans.
Namely, the U25 and U35 plans, both of them are positioned to be the most affordable 5G-ready prepaid plans to date with unlimited data and calls for users to start blasting those HD videos whether through streaming or downloading their library to their device. Another special thing about the plans is a daily free “High-Speed Boost” redeemable via the MyUMobile app and somehow the speed cap will be unthrottled for 60 minutes towards both 4G and 5G connections.
As such, to mark the launch of this affordable 5G prepaid plan, the U25 will be made available at a promotional price of RM20 per month providing unlimited data at 3Mbps while U35 is at 6Mbps with a 3GB hotspot quota at RM35. To gain access to them, you’ll need to get the specific 5G-ready prepaid SIM pack which is valued at RM10 but comes preloaded with RM6 credit and 1GB of high-speed data. For the normal call and SMS rate, those are at 15 sens per minute and 12 sens per message.
