Garmin Malaysia has released a couple of new lineups for Malaysia which are the fenix 7 series inclusive of the 7S and 7X alongside the premium epix series.
To start things, the fenix 7 series is crafted to meet the US Military MIL-STD-810G standards for absolute toughness while rocking support for Multi-GNSS positioning including GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo utilizes multi-band frequency to greatly improve upon positioning speed and accuracy even in the most rural areas. Outdoor enthusiasts will definitely appreciate the ‘Up Ahead’ and Real-Time Stamina function which helps them to plot the best routes beforehand and keep track of their physical strength over time.
Equipped with 1.2”, 1.3”, and 1.4” MIP respectively, the fenix 7 series uses high standard Power Sapphire that is wear-resistant, scratch-resistant, and anti-reflective with the highly permeable patented solar panel recharging the device efficiently that results in an overall 300% increase in battery longevity of up to 24 days of operation time under UltraTrac Mode. It is also worth mentioning the sub-variant fenix 7X model is also the first in the industry to offer a built-in flashlight with 4 levels of brightness profiles and red strobe light to emit a strong red signal during emergencies. For runners who prefer to run at night, they can set the flashlight to running cadence, and the watch will alternate between white and red lights as you swing your arm, making the lights even more prominent to enhance personal safety.
Meanwhile, the epix model is the brand’s first-ever outdoor smartwatches to be equipped with an AMOLED touch screen that also features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal lens and 45mm lightweight titanium alloy bezel that compliments the lifestyle of urban adventurers in the modern era. Built to satisfy the needs of even the most professional athletes, it offers more than 40 modes of outdoor and indoor sports activities while hosting more than 42,000 golf course maps and 2,200 ski resorts around the world. Additionally, it can continuously record data for up to 30 hours under GPS sports mode which is the highest-powered mode, or going for around 16 days under standard profiles or up to 21 days when Power Manager is enabled from the very start.
