Kingston’s 2021 seems to be a great one as they have been crowned as the best SSD seller for last year.
Thanks to TRENDFOCUS providing the data, we can know that Kingston’s win comes from the 22.2% unit market share that equals 22.3 million client SSDs shipped just last year alone. Specifically, Q4 saw the most amount of growth at 26.8% due to the brand launching a couple of new products including the KC3000 PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD which has gathered a lot of positive responses.
The rapid adoption of solid-state drives by the notebook and laptop market is also one of the main contributing factors as digital education stormed through the tech industry in recent years skyrocketed the sales of mobile PCs and in turn, SSDs as even the bare minimum but still competent devices are expected to host at least a 256GB drive.
To be fair, when you buy anything you’ll always go for reputable brands first and with Kingston being the face of memory products (And that stone statue logo, for one), it’s hard to not pick them aside from personal preference or setup purposes.
