vivo has revealed several sample renders for the upcoming vivo Pad tablet.
The official images confirm the actual design inspired by Xiaomi and Apple through the slim display bezels, rounded corners, and a few physical buttons at the side. One of the renders also confirms the existence of a dual rear-facing camera, Dolby Atmos speakers, and a set of triple connectors for attaching the detachable keyboard.
The tablet is being marketed as a potential laptop replacement due to the built-in kickstand provided by the keyboard add-on which has quite a large number of keys for easy inputs but whether those are backlit is still unknown. But the trackpad is quite generous and who doesn’t want a big touch area to move around.
As for the specs, it is more or less confirmed to run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC while rocking a 120Hz display and a decent 8,040mAh battery powering the Ocean OS which is yet another customized Android OS.
That’s all vivo has shown to the media and while it is definitely launching in China, the actual price is still to be confirmed and the availability for the global market is still a mystery. We’ll be back with another round of announcements if it indeed extends its hand to the rest of the world and particularly Malaysia.
