As the leading in a practical sense, because it is the very first in the country, Maxis MEC is capable of providing single-digit millisecond computing response for highly efficient and ultra-low latency that brings cloud resources much closer to the ned user with the data processed and stored at the edge.
By eliminating the need to rely on distant data centres for transferring massive amounts of data streams, MEC is suitable for businesses that rely on time-critical edge applications that need things to be done nearly instantaneously while also being highly performing and complex such as data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation and machine learning
Currently, trials for MEC are undergoing with applications expanding towards Maxis’s own programmable Network (MPN) technologies, cloud, and IoT solutions with potential future use with Smart Surveillance for High Definition (HD) video security cameras and
