Everyone has to agree that taking a photo during nighttime or at times when there’s little to no ambient lighting can be challenging. Either the details of the object or target you’re trying to take a photo of are not exposed enough to reveal their true beauty or everything is just straight up dark. While professional cameras are designed to do fine in those scenarios, today we have something that can do just as good as them and it is OPPO’s latest flagship smartphone – the Find X5 Pro.
OPPO has never stopped bringing the best photography and videography experience to its fans and customers for the first time ever, they are utilizing the brand new MariSilicon X – a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that harnesses the power of machine learning and AI to reveal everything taken in by the photosensitive sensors. By working in tandem with the co-developed Hasselblad cameras in addition to the highly-specialized AI Noise Reduction (AINR) algorithm created by OPPO itself, it can detect and reduce noise, frame by frame, pixel by pixel, and is on the fly to digitalize a result image/video that is fine in details, colors, and skin tone.
We expected that you might not be too keen on the technical details so why not jump straight into the practical aspects of what the OPPO Find X5 Pro is capable of.
4K Ultra Night Video
Needless to say, 4K videography is already mainstream enough for most smartphones to adopt but in terms of how well they do it, this is where the difference can be easily identified. But the OPPO Find X5 Pro is not contented in just doing that alone as it takes the experience far better than one could think. As mentioned above, the MariSilicon X can obtain much better details and vivid colors in low light situations and nighttime without overexposure to the associated light source.
Despite having a poor ambient lighting condition at around 5 lux – which is approximately the brightness you can get out of a single candle lighted during a birthday party scene (about the 0:26 timestamp of the above video), the subject still gets captured clearly with the skin tone and color maintained naturally while keeping the exposure of the candle in check. In short, the MariSilicon X is capable of knowing what elements need to be adjusted and what aspects are not overdone.
Ultra Night Pro
Aside from getting fitted with a cutting-edge AI-based processor, the Find X5 Pro also runs a deserved premium Dual OIS hardware design that improves upon the capability of the photography experience by enabling additional optical information by as much as 15 times and even prolongs the average exposure time per frame by up to 35% during a night scene. Combined with the NPU, users can easily get far better image quality with reduced ghosting which is a common problem when you take pictures in low light conditions. But not anymore, thanks to OPPO.

Conclusion
To wrap it up, the OPPO Find X5 Pro is the culmination of modern photosensory technological excellence and years of experience in developing digital imaging for smartphones and the device shows up as the strongest contender to be the one for all solutions in shooting photos and videos, no matter the time, place, and even light conditions.
