MSI’s latest ‘MSIology: Ahead of the Curve’ live stream not only showcased the usual new offerings that are the latest and greatest, but also a familiar face returning with a new name.
Yup, the Workstation family of products is getting a name update and that name is none other than CreatorPro with the first new guy in the block being the CreatorPro X17 made to tackle the toughest professional applications.
Armed with up to an Intel Core i9-12900HX processor and NVIDIA RTX A5500 Laptop GPU, this sort of horsepower is just the best combo to tear through complex design blueprints and large datasets. With hybrid working environments still being applied today, the market for portable machines with extreme computing capabilities is here to stay.
The position of the CreatorPro doesn’t really get affected by its title refresh as it is still certified by over 90% of ISVs and features the MSI True Pixel technology that inspects and calibrates every single piece of the panel for absolute standards. And to improve result transparency, for the first time MSI is letting users see the panel calibration results themselves certified by Calman.
If we are to talk specifically about the display of the laptop, it is a 17.3-inch 4K IPS panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
The problem of certain creators out there is the variety of ports they run into due to different types of external equipment. The CreatorPro X17 has no problem with that though as it has 2 Thunderbolt 4, 3 USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, 1 HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort, Full-Size SD Card Reader, Ethernet, and Audio Jack.
To wrap it up, the 99.9WHr battery will make sure the power-hungry components get the power they need for several hours of high load.
