One of the world’s leading brand for memory products just declared bankruptcy yesterday after having gone through the year with much struggle due to shady auditing.
Known for high-performance RAM and also some seriously intense read/write speed of SSDs, they can’t save themselves from continuous losses and also problematic accounting. OCZ is now of course facing a situation where there are two choices – either to be acquired, or to liquidate.
OCZ stated in their news saying that Toshiba offered to acquire the company’s assets – meaning that the OCZ products might live on, or maybe just its technology being incorporated to next generation of Toshiba SSDs and RAMs.
If liquidation does happen, let’s go and get some SSDs by OCZ to play with. Hey, they’ll mark down their price if they’re liquidating, so why not?
