As a the mouse is one of the most important hardware for computers, we always seek for a better mouse to enhance or to ease our daily tasks on the computer. A wireless mouse with a USB wireless receiver is what normally we own, but a Bluetooth mouse is maybe what you seek next, and never look back.
Last month, Logitech had launched M557 Bluetooth Mouse which is design to work across various platforms. Now I got myself a unit to test with and let’s take a look at it.
[nextpage title=”Appearance and Functionality “]Logitech M557 Bluetooth Mouse is work with all kinds of Bluetooth-enabled devices – PCs, Macs, even your Android device – with no external receiver required but all it need is a software.
With the slim and ambidextrous design, Whether you’re a righty or a lefty, whether you use a fingertip or palm grip, the M557 is always a perfect fit. But due to the size of this mouse, this mouse isn’t suitable for people who has a big hand.
Although I had tested this mouse for few weeks now, they stated that the battery life would last for one year and battery life may vary based on user and computing conditions – which didn’t actually got tested thanks to the one-year battery life. An On/Off switch at the bottom of mouse helps conserve power or smart sleep mode to extends battery life and an indicator light helps to ensures that you’ll never be caught off guard.
The wheel not only lets me scroll up and down through documents,it also have a smooth solid scrolling. You can also tilt the wheel left and right to move back and forth between web pages or open windows. A button that located behind the scroll wheel makes it fast and simple to switch between your browser to desktop or even to any tab that you wish go. We can also change the way each button works to suit our needs and preferences.
Like other wireless mouse, this Bluetooth mouse having 1000 dpi, high-definition optical sensor that delivers smooth and responsive cursor control, so we can work with precision and confidence on a wide variety of surfaces. The pointer speed also can be set in the setting as to suit ur own preferences.
[nextpage title=”Wrap up”]As a conclusion, m577 bluetooth mouse not just save me a USB port, but it also very suitable for laptop user like office worker or student, though this kind of mouse is not suitable for any type of gaming.
The price for this Bluetooth mouse is RM119 and it is available in retailers around Malaysia now!
Rating 9/10
Then again, though the mouse is near perfection, the price point is just ridiculous and the lack of the back and forward buttons at the thumb (also known as thumb buttons) but it is understandable because of its ambidextrous design.

Hi,
Can this mouse be used with a smartphone running on android kitkat?
Hello, I never tested it, but as far as I know, you can 🙂
This is their worst attempt for a mouse. Used others over the years and needed the convenience of a Bluetooth (space for 17″ in too small carrying cases) and it will loose sync after 10 min idle, every time. Multiple PC’s. It is now in the trash.
actually the scroll wheel can be tilted left and right to act as Back/Forward buttons XP
Not a good option!
