Alcatel is truly aiming at the budget range for their smartphones these days, and they just keep having new ones in the market!
Alcatel just announced that their new ONETOUCH POP C9 to be available in the Malaysian market in mid-February, which is now!
One thing to note is that the models available in Malaysia differ from other countries. The specs of the ONETOUCH POP C9 are :
- 1.3GHz Quad-core processor running on Android 4.2.2
- 5.5-inch IPS display running at 540×960 pixels
- 8MP rear-facing camera
- 1GB RAM, 4GB storage (2GB usable, expandable to 32GB)
- Dual-SIM capability
- 2500mAh battery
Oh, it’s available in Full White and Slate too, which is basically just white and dark blue colour. As mentioned before this, these are the only two colours available in the Malaysian market.
Well for the phone of such specs, it is priced at an RRP of RM699. Is it better than the Moto G? Maybe, but for such a price you get a large 5.5-inch display. Combined with minimalist specs, surely it is good for the elderly. Surprisingly, it has quite a thin bezel too. Maybe it’ll be better if it has on-screen buttons instead of capacitive ones at the bottom.

I believe Moto G much better in term of performance because Moto G Use Snapdragon and Adreno instead of Pop 9 just use Mediatek chipset..
Certainly is, but the screen size always matters though.
The capacity bottons are much better then on screen bottons.
