OPPO’s first introduction of its foldable smartphone started with December 2021’s Find N model that unfortunately didn’t make it out of China’s borders as it was their first take on the deal. However, this year, the brand introduced the new Find N2 Flip – a smartphone that flips vertically instead of the usual horizontal-focused counterpart Find N2.
The good news is that the Find N2 Flip is created with a global release in mind which means Malaysians like you and I can easily get access to OPPO’s latest technology and witness their take on how to make foldable devices justice. Let us walk you through what can you expect out of it.
Multi-functional Cover Screen – Less is more
One of the major points of the Find N2 Flip is the integration of the industry’s largest Cover Screen to date at 3.26 inches with a completely different orientation than its competitors which is placed vertically. The reason behind it is to align with the user’s habit of being used to candy bar-shaped smartphones, therefore one can get comfortable with it within a short time and master it with ease.
Aside from an aesthetic standpoint, the convenience and productivity score are also pretty high in these regards as you can preview and reply to messages, gain access to quick toggles such as the Flashlight, Airplane Mode, Bluetooth, Notification Alerts, and more without the need to unfold the device.
Is someone calling you? Just hit Accept and talk to the phone in its square form as well!
Additionally, when being used to preview your camera shots, there is no cropping happening thus what you see is what you get.
Are you one of the more playful people? Then the personalization freedom will surely appeal to your liking as you can enable the Always-On-Display (AOD) to show off things like Bitmoji sticker packs, GIFs for the ever-looping memes, or choose 1 of the 5 available digital pet companion that is fully interactable and cute to play with!
Or you can just show off the clock if you’re no fun or needs to time your stuff frequently.
Who says that you need a big screen estate to do a lot of stuff eh?
Smooth and stealthiest crease in a flip device
To make any kind of sense, we need to first have some context behind the reason why the Find N2 Flip has such minimum crease which is the shallowest in the industry right now when unfolded and that’s the result of OPPO’s Next Generation Flexion Hinge technology.
The proprietary hinge design allows the device to bend and unbend easily without the risk of damaging the screen, resulting in a larger open angle that is almost completely flat and with very little crease which you may not even notice during daily use.
The entire mechanism is also built with robust parts and a clever design that keeps the overall profile compact and durable which means there’s more space to slide in a battery with a capacity that matches the needs of modern digital life.
Signature SuperVOOC powering a big chunk of battery
As mentioned, thanks to the Next Generation Flexion Hinge, the Find N2 Flip has been given a 4,300mAh battery which is the largest one ever found in a flip-style smartphone until now and easily charges the device to full within an hour with the 44W SuperVOOC fast charge adapter.
Hasselblad power joins the fray
The last time we heard about Hasselblad in an OPPO smartphone is last year’s Find X5 series which is understandable since those are flagship-level devices but the good news is the Find N2 Flip has received the Swedish blessing as well to equip the camera with some powerful imaging and post-processing algorithm to make taking photos a breeze and of high quality with ease.
Here are some photos taken with the device across different types of subjects.

Conclusion
To conclude everything, the OPPO Find N2 Flip is a serious contender in the foldable device market that aims to challenge everything its competitors trying to do by outpacing them through a wonderfully-designed hinge system, a well-optimized software experience, the powerful camera capabilities without over-relying on expensive sensors, and finally, a retail price that will pull up ears and attracts interesting eye gazes when heard.
Also, do you know that it is Shopee and Lazada’s ‘Best-Selling Foldable Phone’ after its launch on 2nd March, and the excitement and hype for the device grew exponentially to the point where 17 OPPO Brand stores no longer have enough ready stock for it. That’s some real hot news item right there.
So wanna give it a try? Well, the device is currently available to purchase at the price of RM3,999 across all My OPPO Space, OPPO Brand Stores, the official online store, e-commerce platforms such as Shopee and Lazada in addition to partner channels such as the telcos and chain stores.
