We’ve all dreamed about it, and Nokia actually heard us and gave us what we wanted. Well, sort of. Nokia announced their new phones – Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL.
The Nokia X uses their ever famous tile interface just as it was on their Lumia phones, with everything else skinned to pretty much look like their Lumia interface.
Right out of the box, the phone has Nokia’s HERE Maps, and it seems like Nokia has some bloatware such as MixRadio. Since they are a part of Microsoft now, they included Microsoft’s OneDrive – which was known as SkyDrive before this – on their Nokia X family phones.

The funny thing is, entire Nokia X line of phones have dual SIM, and they all have a bunch of different colours. Though they all also have a horrible screen resolution, Nokia claims that the entire product line of Nokia X has 2MP camera for ideal Skype video chats.
With all three phones powered by only a dual-core Snapdragon processor, Nokia X is priced at EUR 89 (approx. RM401) and is available soon in Malaysia, whereas the Nokia X+ and XL is priced at EUR 99 (approx. RM446.05) and EUR 109 (approx RM491.11) respectively, and is only available in the early second quarter of 2014.
I suppose Nokia is testing the water on Android market to see how well it will perform if they really do have flagship devices for Android OS. It is really surprising to see that the Nokia-Android phone is still happening, despite that they’re now acquired by Microsoft.
I wonder if Nokia really knows what they’re doing or not though, it seems like they’re just trying their luck out of a randomizer to see if it works out or not.
