ASUS Malaysia released the new Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405) for the local market last week and perhaps there’s still time to get it as a present before 2023 ends.
Although the looks of these new models are practically the same and if you already like the design, then the internals are all the difference between “old” and “new” Intel since these new chips are packed with an NPU that can accelerate and inference AI-powered features and workloads that will help boosting your productivity to new levels – in a laptop and without a discreet GPU no less (It has Arc iGPU by the way).
Equipped with up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB PCIe SSD, there’s tons of memory and storage to work with while the exquisite 3K ASUS Lumina OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 600-nit peak brightness offers high levels of visual fidelity.
I/O ports are pretty adequate too – 2x Thunderbolt 4, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, HDMI 2.1, and 3.5mm audio jack.
On the other hand, the 14.9mm thin and 1.2kg chassis hosts everything on top of the 75WHr battery while the rest of the feature sets are complemented with things like the ErgoSense keyboard, powerful speaker, FHD IR camera with physical shutter, and more.
Price and Availability
The Core Ultra 5 125H + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD variant will put you at RM4,499 while power users who need more can go for the RM5,999 version with Core Ultra 7 155H + 32GB RAM + 1TB SSD instead.
Both of them are offered in Ponder Blue at the moment with the Foggy Silver coming in at a later date.
