Introducing, the brand new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. It was released less than a day ago and I got it in my hands now. We have the Titanium Gray color and I think this color is tantalizing. The unboxing experience is the same as before – and we already got a video up.
The Titanium Gray is a matte finish and the phone just feels so good to caress. It won’t catch any fingerprints because of its texture – which is good – and the new squared-off frame with rounded edges feels absolutely exquisite to hold in the palm of my hand.
While Samsung, the pioneer of curved screen, decided to go to a flat screen again – it was rather abrupt. No one knows exactly why this is the choice that they made – but I’m glad that they did. I’m never a fan of curved screens because of palm rejection issues, nagivational swiping gestures weren’t the best, and most importantly – screen protectors.
I would take a tempered glass screen protector over film or hydrogel any time of the day but a curved screen just doesn’t allow tempered glass to be installed. We’ve actually talked about this in a video too.
We’re currently testing the gaming performance of the Galaxy S24 Ultra – so stay tuned for that.
We’re also going to test the AI capabilities after we’re done with the review. We’re going to focus on the phone’s basics first before exploring the software features.
By the way – every phone within the Galaxy S24 series is getting 7 generations of Android OS upgrades and 7 years of security patches! That’s impressive as Samsung is once again stepping up their software support game.
