This is rather abrupt news but we can see it coming. Since Celcom and Digi are merging together as CelcomDig, Yoodo is required to be discontinued within 18 months of the merger. And since the merger is already 30th November 2022, that deadline is fast approaching.
If you don’t already know, Yoodo is piggybacking on the Celcom network infrastructure. Since Celcom is merging with Digi, some changes will need to be made.
So, here’s what’s going to happen. Yoodo service will be discontinued from 29th August 2024, but we still don’t have any idea how the transition is going to be for existing Yoodo customers. More information will be shared by 17th June 2024.
As of now, all Yoodo customers can still continue using the service.

Dear Customers,
As part of the CelcomDigi merger undertaking committed to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), we would like to inform you that the Yoodo brand will be discontinued from 29 Aug 2024.
We thank you for being a loyal Yoodo customer.
Please be assured you will continue to enjoy your existing service (data, voice and SMS) without any interruptions.

Why is Yoodo brand discontinuing?
Yoodo is a digital telco brand by CelcomDigi, riding on the CelcomDigi network. As part of the CelcomDigi merger undertaking committed to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the Yoodo brand is required to be discontinued within 18 months of the merger.
How will this impact me?
You will continue to enjoy existing services (Data, Voice and SMS) on the CelcomDigi network, and product and support channels from CelcomDigi without any interruptions until further notice.
Will I be able to use and make payment for my subscriptions?
All services (Data, Voice and SMS) including payment channels will remain as is until further notice.
What do I do in the mean-time?
No action is required from you now as your service (Data, Voice and SMS) will remain as is. Should you decide, you have the option to port out to another operator of your choice.
What will happen after 17 May 2024?
More information about your service will be shared with you on 17 June 2024. Until then, you will continue enjoying your existing service on the CelcomDigi network without any interruptions.
