Acer has revealed that its renowned Swift series laptops will include models with the latest AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series laptop processors starting in Q3 2024.
As many would have known by now, the AMD Ryzen AI 300 processors are based on the high-performance ‘Zen 5 architecture’ and feature up to 12 cores and 24 threads, ensuring excellent performance for ultrathin laptops.
These processors utilize AMD XDNA 2 technology, offering over 50 NPU TOPS of AI processing power to enable local deployment of AI capabilities and running of generative AI applications, LLM, and AI assistants directly on upcoming Acer Swift laptops.
Furthermore, AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors are designed for low power consumption and excellent battery life, alongside up to 36MB cache for enhanced productivity and responsiveness.
Plus, the built-in AMD Radeon 800M graphics support high-resolution displays and help speed up the encoding process, whether or not a discrete graphics card is present.
While pricing info is still unavailable, Acer has confirmed that the new Swift series models will include a free update to Copilot+ PC experiences once they become available.
