ASUS Malaysia’s fresh new launch a couple of hours ago showcased the new Vivobook S 15 and Zenbook S 16 laptops that are part of the Copilot+ PCs with AI augmentation.
The Vivobook S 15 can be said as the highlight there because everyone is looking at the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite SoC-powered machine equipped with a 3K 120Hz ASUS Lumina OLED screen with 32GB LPDDR5X-8448 RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.
The impressive set of 2x USB4 + 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 + 1x HDMI 2.1 + 1x microSD reader + 3.5mm combo jack will get all your peripherals set up with ease while the chassis with 14.7mm thickness and 1.42kg weight makes it quite easy to carry around.
There’s a range of ASUS AI features including AiSense Camera with auto lock/unlock depending on user presence, Live Captions for real-time accurate subtitles, CoCreator that transforms sketches into finished artworks, and a whole lot more.
And to finish it up, it is powered by a 70Whr battery that is also USB-C chargeable.
On the other hand, the Zenbook S 16 is more of your standard x86-based Windows laptop as it hosts an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor with Radeon 890M iGPU and Ryzen AI. The improved design has led to the incorporation of a 3D vapor chamber even for this laptop of this form factor and thinness, ensuring little to no operating noise for as long as possible.
The same 3K 120Hz ASUS Lumina OLED display is here as well while memory capacity puts it at 32GB RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD too. I/O ports, it is also similar, except cutting down the USB-A port to just one and that’s it.
ASUS also gave it a 40% larger touchpad for smoother navigation as well as a 6-speaker Harman Kardon-certified audio system for decent entertainment on the go.
As for security, Windows passkeys for Windows Hello enabled by AiSense IR camera and Microsoft Pluton are both present to protect the user at all times.
