Introducing, the latest iPhone 16. It is now available in 5 beautiful colors – and I’m liking the teal a lot. Many of the features from the iPhone 15 Pro series – and more – are also present on the iPhone 16.
As usual, the iPhone 16 is available in two sizes – 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch.
First, the iPhone 16 now has the Action Button. It works the same as the previous iPhone 15 Pro, as we can customize the button to do some tasks that we want.
There is also a new Camera Control feature – which is a physical switch with a touch-sensitive panel at the side of the iPhone. We can press on it to launch the camera app, then slide across the Camera Control to control the zoom.
It also functions as a professional camera’s shutter button as it even has half-pressed detection.
The camera sensors got upgraded – and now the ultrawide angle camera also has an autofocusing lens. That enables macro photography – and it enables a whole new world of photography.
And it can also capture spatial videos and photos too – you’ll be able to view them on the Apple Vision Pro or the PICO 4 Ultra.
It also has something called Visual Intelligence – it functions like Google Lens, but much more advanced. Just launch the camera app and it’ll automatically read whatever the camera is seeing. Be it a building, a signboard, or even flyers.
The iPhone 16 is also upgraded to the A18 with 17% more memory bandwidth for faster generative AI models – but I really want to test it out for myself in a gaming test. They’ve also added a new heat spreader – I’m not sure if it’s a heatsink or a vapor chamber as it was not explicitly mentioned.
Apple Intelligence is a big part of the iPhone 16, and it’ll be available as a free update with the beta starts soon.
The iPhone 16 starts at $799 for the iPhone, and the iPhone 16 Plus is at $899.
