Samsung’s desktop monitors have always been pretty to the eyes – and they’re not going to stop at all. Today, Samsung Malaysia announced that there are 4 new monitors available in the market – that is the UD590, SD590, SD390, and also the SD360.

Let’s start off with the most exciting one.

The UD590 is Samsung’s 28-inch UHD monitor – that means it’s a 4K monitor, that is to say 3840×2160 pixels, doubled the horizontal and vertical pixels from the 1080p resolution respectively. With that much pixels, Samsung promised a 1ms response time and also has picture-in-picture mode and picture-by-picture mode to make use of all those real estate that is available on the 4K monitor.

It has one Display Port v1.2, two HDMI v1.4 ports, and also a headphone jack. It comes all in a package that surprisingly looks quite okay to be a furniture.

The UD590 is priced at RM1899.

The SD590 is something different – it is available in either 27-inch or 23.6-inch in size and both runs in native 1080p (1920×1080) resolution. Nothing special right there – but the bezel is something one of the slimmest of all. It generally looks the same as the UD590, except for the bezel and the pixel count.

Also, it comes with two HDMI ports, a VGA port (seriously? At 1080p, images are fuzzy), and a headphone jack.

The SD590 is priced at RM1099.

Lastly there’s the SD390 and SD360. Sporting a 23.6-inch 1080p resolution panel, it has a very, very slim transparent blue accent around the edges of the monitor. The same goes for the monitor’s neck. I have no idea why Samsung did this but it’s pretty darn distracting to me, at least.

Both of them are the same, but the only thing different is that the SD390 is black, whereas the SD360 is white. Also, they both have one HDMI port and another VGA port. Seriously Samsung, VGA port for 1080p is a joke.

The SD390 and SD360 both are also priced at RM699.
