Kairosoft, well known for their simulator games and their hit Game Developer Story, has created a ton of new simulator games. Without further ado, let’s get on to this Kairosoft game!
Greeted with their ever famous simplistic start menu is heartwarmingly familiar as anyone who played any previous Kairosoft games would know that this start menu is used throughout all the games by Kairosoft.
Starting the game, a brief tutorial about how to buy clothes, shelves, racks and many more. Starting off, you get a shop that more or less looks like this :
It also said that while placing your shelves and racks, plan out in a fashionable way as the placement will form a kind of “combo” that affects your products’ sales.
As the game progresses even further, you get a lot more variations and exploits which will require heavy micro management, such as the forecast of economic and weather, which both affects your sales as well. You can however, take advantage of all these factors and create a sales spike in your graph!
As you play further you can get a lot more clothes and manufacturer options , making your shop filled with choices, and you’ll be offered by a certain familiar looking bear to construct an extra floor for your boutique emporium.
As you play further, you get to unlock and build a lot more fantastic things in your shop and decorations can fill up and entire floor in your store!
Like any Kairosoft game, they definitely have a special sense of humour such as the trophy of getting 10 trophies, and also another trophy such as this :

There are various types of items and events available for use to manipulate the game in your favour, and since it’s a sandbox game, you can do whatever you want in your own style, but the main objective is to be the number one store in the whole game. You can also hike or decrease the price as you wish.
I wonder though, who will buy 14 pieces of the same clothing? The further part of the game leads me to what I think was a great style : densely build everything together.
It doesn’t matter if you want to departmentalize, segregate according to manufacturer or just mix, match and mash everything together. You do get some WTF moments a la the Putin percentages.
Yup, in fact, that’s definitely more the famous 140%, Putin’s percentage.
Well… the conclusion?
Definitely is a good game for those who like to micro manage things, and this is definitely more on multitasking within a game where you really have to take care of the products, sales, placements, events, cleanliness and price, with the deciding factor of the economic and weather status.
Verdict?
Rating for Pocket Clothier : 8/10
Steep learning slope from those without a business mind or background, but definitely educates the player. A great time waster for those who are letting 10 or 15 minutes to fly by.
Price tags vary between platforms, so I recommend trying the lite version first.
