This is how the Motorola “Shamu”, allegedly next Nexus will look like, and possibly dons the name of Nexus X.
Rumours have confirmed that the next Nexus will bear the Moto X’s design, with scaling to a huge 5.92-inch display. Speaking of the display, it’s going to have a 2K display – meaning it will sport a generous 2560×1440 resolution display, though we do not know the panel used just yet – whether it is going to be an LCD IPS, OLED, or anything along those line.

9to5Google has pointed out that the Nexus will use the 2.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor with Adreno 420 graphics, as shown on a benchmark on GFXBench. The benchmark also showed that it will have a humongous 3GB RAM and supposedly 32GB of internal memory. The benchmark however shows a 5.2-inch screen instead, but it seems like rumours are swaying in favour of 5.9-inch display, and even I myself is guilty of such favouritism.
Selfie fans should note that the front-facing camera is only rated at 2MP, but the rear-facing camera will be a near-13MP. I really do hope Google nails down the camera this time – camera on the Nexus 4 was disappointing, and showed improvements on the Nexus 5, though still lots of room for improvement.
Android Police noted that the next Nexus will feature optical image stabilization (OIS), a large 3,200mAh battery (FINALLY!!!!!!), and also obviously Android L with a little touchup from what we have last seen. Interestingly, this Nexus device will even have Motorola’s tubo charger feature for faster charging, and also dual front-facing stereo speakers. I just hope that it’s not as misleading as the new Moto X 2014, as they do have two grills at the front, but only one of it produces sound.

With alleged renders of the next Nexus device, someone created a real-size mockup of said device. It doesn’t look too huge or too small, but the word “5.9-inch” had already shocked many people.

Android Police also got an exclusive look at – again, the alleged next Nexus device out in the wilderness of daily commute. 5.9-inch device is pretty much legit here actually.

What we do expect is the device to be launched at somewhere around the end of October. When will be phone be in Malaysia? That is a question I want answered as quick as possible, because I am actually seeking a new phone for myself. Being an avid Nexus fan for years, I can only get excited over this “Shamu”.
I guess I’ll just camp at DirectD for a few days for it to be on sale when it’s here.
