Truly a great news for FonePad 7 (FE170CG) owners! Android 4.4 KitKat update is finally here in Malaysia!
The update can be done via Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) update. The latest system firmware (Build number : KVT49L.WW_fonepad-11.2.3.17.3-20141006 release-keys) is now available for update.
There should be an update notification. Afraid not, just manually check for update in About> System Update. Be patient if you have not received the update yet because the FOTA usually comes in batches – means that you might or might not get it quicker than other users.
Just wait for the auto-update! If you’re too impatient about it, take your own risk and go on to ASUS Support and update the device yourself without waiting for the update to reach your turn. Your choice, but we take no responsibility on any consequences.
Have fun and enjoy KitKat!
