MINIX has unveiled the N304-AI, a new mini PC designed to make AI-powered computing more accessible beyond the premium PC segment. Built on Intel’s latest Wildcat Lake platform, the system combines compact dimensions with dedicated AI acceleration to support a growing range of on-device AI applications.
At the heart of the N304-AI is the Intel Core 3 Processor 304, which integrates Intel AI Boost technology. The platform delivers up to 24 TOPS of total AI performance, including up to 15 TOPS from its dedicated NPU, enabling AI workloads to run locally rather than relying solely on cloud-based processing.
Alongside its AI capabilities, the N304-AI includes 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB NVMe SSD. The system supports up to three displays and features dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and Windows 11 Pro.
MINIX says that this new SKU is targeted at a variety of deployment scenarios, including home offices, educational institutions, retail environments, digital signage installations, edge computing deployments, and small business operations.
The launch reflects a broader industry trend toward AI PCs, as chipmakers work to integrate dedicated neural processing capabilities into mainstream computing devices. Intel’s Wildcat Lake architecture combines CPU, GPU, and NPU resources within a power-efficient design, allowing manufacturers to bring AI-enhanced experiences to more affordable systems.
