LG Malaysia has reached a new milestone for its appliance subscription business with the opening of its 130th LG Subscribe Brand Store at Sunway Pyramid.

The expansion makes LG’s subscription kiosk network the largest branded home appliance subscription store network in Malaysia, reflecting the company’s growing focus on flexible appliance access and long-term customer support. Originally launched in 2019, LG Subscribe provides an alternative to traditional appliance ownership and has seen massive support during pandemic-related disruptions and broader economic challenges.

The network now spans 130 stores across the country, including 58 locations in Central Malaysia, 29 in the Northern region, 23 in the Southern region, 15 in East Malaysia, and 5 across the East Coast.

According to Managing Director Justin Choi, the milestone reflects growing consumer acceptance of subscription-based appliance services. He said the company remains focused on making premium home technologies more accessible while supporting customers through ongoing maintenance and service programs.

Each LG Subscribe store includes a dedicated Maintenance Service Zone where customers can learn about servicing schedules, filter replacements, and after-sales support. There are also store associates to extend customer engagement through digital channels, including TikTok Live sessions conducted during quieter retail periods.

Alongside the store expansion, LG has launched its Filter Drop Campaign, encouraging subscribers to return used appliance filters to LG Subscribe stores for proper disposal. Participants will receive complimentary gifts, while the initiative aims to reduce improper waste disposal and strengthen sustainable after-sales practices.

The campaign forms part of the brand’s broader sustainability strategy through implementing inverter-based technologies designed to reduce electricity consumption while maintaining performance, helping households lower long-term energy usage and environmental impact throughout the product lifecycle.

LG also linked the initiative to its broader Future Vision 2030 strategy, which seeks to transform the company into a Smart Life Solution Company by extending customer engagement beyond the initial product purchase.

In addition to its physical retail presence, LG continues to expand the subscription program through its online platform, allowing customers to explore and subscribe to eligible appliances digitally.
