Nothing has just introduced its highly anticipated Phone (4b) and Ear (3a). Here’s a quick overview at both products.
Nothing Phone (4b)
The new Nothing Phone (4b) combines the Glyph Bar from the Phone (4a) series with the unibody design of the Phone (4a) Pro, delivering a bold and refined look that reflects Nothing’s signature design language. Featuring a crystal-clear soft polymer camera module, eco-polycarbonate unibody, three-layer coating, 600N bending resistance, and IP64 protection, the smartphone balances style and durability.
The redesigned Glyph Bar features 45 individually controlled mini-LEDs with up to 3,500 nits brightness, providing notifications, charging updates, recording indicators, and personalised alerts without requiring users to check their screen frequently.
Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 4nm processor, the Nothing Phone (4b) delivers efficient performance with enhanced thermal management through a custom 4,400mm² vapor chamber, helping maintain stable performance during demanding tasks such as gaming and 4K video recording. The smartphone is also equipped with a 5,200mAh battery featuring Safe Cell Technology, supporting 33W fast charging and improved long-term battery durability.
For photography, the Phone (4b) features a 50MP OIS main camera with OIS + EIS stabilisation, a 119° ultrawide camera, and a 360° ambient light sensor for improved image quality and colour accuracy. It also sports a 6.77-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and up to 2,000 nits peak brightness.
Nothing Ear (3a)
The Nothing Ear (3a) introduces built-in 32MB flash storage and Audio Snapshot, allowing users to capture audio moments directly from the earbuds. By pinching both earbuds, users can save clips from music, lectures, or conversations, with recordings automatically synced to the Nothing X app for playback, editing, sharing, and transcription.
The earbuds also support direct call and meeting recording for up to two hours, with automatic syncing, transcript generation, and privacy notifications during recording. Powered by a new 12mm dynamic driver, Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, and LDAC support, Ear (3a) delivers improved bass, detailed highs, and high-quality 24-bit/96kHz audio, with further customisation through the Nothing X app’s Advanced EQ and Spatial Audio features.
For enhanced listening, the earbuds offer up to 45dB Wideband Active Noise Cancellation, improved ANC performance across a wider frequency range, and Transparency Mode for better environmental awareness.
Featuring Nothing’s signature transparent design, the Ear (3a) comes with a redesigned charging case inspired by pill packaging, improved ergonomics, and a new XS ear tip size for better comfort. The case also includes a refined LED status indicator for quick battery, charging, and pairing updates.
Battery-wise, the Ear (3a) provides up to 10 hours of playback and up to 42 hours with the charging case when ANC is disabled, while ANC-enabled usage delivers up to 6 hours on the earbuds and 25 hours total.
