Through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the investment platform will fund initiatives under NDO’s Smart Mooves programme, which aims to benefit up to 500 students across 20 public secondary schools in Kuala Lumpur and Penang. The programme targets students aged 16 and above, combining physical activity with investment education and personal development to help build confidence, financial literacy, and long-term planning skills.

To further support the initiative, Moomoo Malaysia will contribute RM10 to the Nicol David Organisation for every RM1,000 deposited by a new user during the campaign.

The collaboration comes at a time when retail investing continues to grow in Malaysia, but younger investors remain underrepresented. According to Bursa Malaysia, individuals aged between 18 and 35 make up only 20% of the country’s active retail investor base. Financial literacy studies have also highlighted ongoing knowledge gaps among younger Malaysians, underscoring the importance of accessible investment education and financial empowerment.

Moomoo Malaysia says the partnership is built around the shared belief that success in investing, sports, and education all depend on discipline, consistency, and having access to the right opportunities from an early age.

Founded by eight-time world squash champion Datuk Nicol David and Mariana De Reyes, the Nicol David Organisation is a non-profit foundation focused on empowering women, girls, and boys through sports, education, mental health, and community development. Besides Smart Mooves, the organisation also runs programmes such as Little Legends and Positive Play (+ Play), providing support and learning opportunities for children and families from underserved communities.

Datuk Nicol David welcomed the collaboration, saying the partnership will create valuable opportunities for students and families while reinforcing the importance of education, resilience, and lifelong learning.
