Google has officially made Gemini Spark available in Malaysia, and now local users can use the AI-powered assistant to run tasks up in the cloud.
The 24/7 AI bot can be assigned to take on tasks such as monitoring Gmail for important messages, organizing files in Google Drive, creating reports, drafting emails, managing schedules, or summarizing information from multiple sources. Spark runs securely on Google’s cloud infrastructure and works natively with Workspace apps without requiring additional setup.
Google says users remain in control throughout the experience. Spark only performs actions that have been assigned to it, and it is designed to request confirmation before carrying out major actions. The company also highlights that the assistant can learn a user’s preferred writing style over time to generate more personalized drafts and responses.
The Malaysian rollout makes the country one of the latest markets to receive Gemini Spark following its debut earlier this year. Local users can use the AI assistant for everyday tasks ranging from sorting school or work emails and tracking bills to planning trips, researching events, or helping businesses manage customer communications.
Access is currently exclusive for Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra subscribers, with availability expanding gradually over the coming days. Once available, users will see the new Spark experience within the Gemini app and on the web, where they can begin assigning ongoing tasks to their AI assistant.
