Tesla has opened a new V4 Supercharging station at Queensbay Mall in Penang, adding 4x high-speed chargers to its growing network and giving Tesla owners in northern Malaysia another convenient charging stop.
The new V4 Superchargers can deliver up to 250 kW, allowing the Model 3 and Model Y to add up to around 311 km of range in as little as 15 minutes. The chargers also support Plug & Charge functionality through the Tesla App, making it easier for owners to start charging without going through extra steps.
With the new Penang location, Tesla now operates 20 Supercharging stations with 88 Superchargers across Malaysia, alongside 18 Destination Charging locations with 76 chargers.
The new station also comes with the usual Tesla ecosystem features. Grok, Tesla’s built-in AI assistant, can be used for navigation and route planning, climate and ventilation controls, music playback, reminders, finding locations and other vehicle functions.
Tesla currently sells the Model 3 and Model Y in Malaysia. As part of its limited-time Merdeka Special, buyers can choose between a complimentary Wall Connector or 3,000 km of Supercharging credits, although the two offers cannot be combined.
- Model 3 – Starts from RM149K
- Model Y – Starts from RM198K
For the Model Y Premium RWD, buyers can also choose between a RM13,000 trade-in rebate or a low-interest fixed-rate package starting from 0.88%.
Tesla has also added the Model Y to its Refer and Earn program, where existing Tesla owners can share their referral links and earn RM500 in Tesla credits for each successful qualifying referral, while the first 10 referred customers who order a new Model 3 or Model Y can receive RM1,000 off their purchase.
