Kingston is highlighting its portfolio of various storage offerings in conjunction with World Photography Day falls on August 19, and with this year’s theme being “HOME”, it is about capturing the spaces, people and connections that make a place feel like home.

For creators handling high-resolution RAW images and 8K footage, the FURY Renegade G5 PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD is the top-end option, with capacities of up to 8TB. It can reach read speeds of up to 14,800MB/s and write speeds of up to 14,000MB/s, alongside over 2 million IOPS for demanding creative workflows.

Meanwhile, the KC3000 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD takes a slightly more mainstream approach while still targeting heavy workloads such as 3D rendering and 4K-plus video editing. It offers speeds of up to 7,000MB/s and comes with a low-profile graphene aluminium heat spreader to help manage temperatures.

For photographers working outside the studio, Kingston’s portable SSDs are designed to make moving footage and photos around a little easier. The XS2000 External SSD reaches USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 speeds of up to 2,000MB/s, while its IP55 rating and rugged rubber sleeve provide some extra protection when working on location. Kingston also claims it can transfer a full hour of 4K footage in under 30 seconds, with support for direct Apple ProRes recording.

The smaller XS1000 External SSD is another option for creators who want something easier to carry around, offering speeds of up to 1,050MB/s in a pocket-sized design. It works with PCs, Macs, tablets and smartphones, making it useful for moving files between different devices.

There’s also the Dual Portable SSD, which comes with built-in USB Type-A and Type-C connectors, removing the need to carry a separate cable. It offers USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds of up to 1,050MB/s and is designed for quickly sharing files between devices.

For those who don’t necessarily need flagship-level performance, the NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD offers a more affordable internal storage option. It comes in a single-sided M.2 2280 form factor with capacities of up to 4TB, while offering read speeds of up to 6,000MB/s and write speeds of up to 5,000MB/s.

And for everyday file storage and sharing, the DataTraveler Exodia M USB Flash Drive keeps things simple with USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity, a moving cap design and a key-ring loop. It is available in capacities of up to 256GB.

With photographers increasingly working across cameras, laptops, phones and other devices, having storage that can keep up with large media files is becoming just as important as the gear used to capture them.
