vivo Malaysia has unveiled the X500 Series, made up of the X500 Pro Max, X500 Pro, and X500, and the new release is built around the new ZEISS telephoto system as the centrepiece, with a strong focus on concert shooting. It’s also the first smartphone series in Malaysia to ship with OriginOS 7.

The Pro Max leads with a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera and CIPA 7.0 stabilisation for longer handheld exposures in low light. It also supports the 400mm-equivalent vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra. The Pro supports a 200mm-equivalent extender, and both phones get 20x Long-Range Motion Snapshot, with the Pro Max going up to 30x. The X-Track Engine and Lock-On Subject Tracking, which keeps subjects in focus even when briefly out of view, come on the Pro Max and Pro. The Pro Max also offers AF Tracking at up to 60fps in Snapshot Mode.

On video, the Pro Max and Pro share a ZEISS TrueDynamic Main Camera with a 17 EV Cinematic Pro Log curve, 4K Dolby Vision Portrait Video, and native 4K 240fps slow motion. The Pro Max adds 3° gimbal-grade OIS. Stage Mode 3.0 targets concertgoers with Auto Framing Fancam Video, 4K Dual-View Stage Video, and Super Telephoto Stage Snapshot. The standard X500 focuses on everyday creativity, with a Cinematic Portrait feature that adapts lighting across daylight, dusk, and indoor scenes, plus a vivo Color Palette for tone, glow, and grain.

Powering the devices is OriginOS 7, with Origin Workbench enabled for multitasking, the Origin Smooth Engine for lasting smoothness, and tighter links with Apple devices, including AirPods, Apple Watch, iCloud, and AirDrop interoperability. AI features include Snap & Go, AI Next Up reminders, and an AI Recorder with six templates such as Meeting Summary and Lecture Notes. The BlueVolt Battery System uses second-generation semi-solid-state battery technology that works down to -20°C, and Bypass Charging keeps the phone cooler while charging.

All three models also have IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanning, USB 3.2, and an infrared blaster.
