REDMAGIC Malaysia has officially brought in the new Astra 2 gaming tablet, and apparently it is the “world’s 1st first mass-produced liquid-cooled gaming tablet”.
That claim is backed by the AquaCore Cooling System 2.0 uses a piezoelectric ceramic micropump to circulate a fluorinated liquid, the same kind used in cutting-edge AI servers, through laser-cut channels built into the body. It pulls heat straight off the battery, works from -40°C to +70°C, and is leak-proof and non-conductive. A large 4D vapor chamber and Liquid Metal 3.0 handle the CPU side of things, on the other hand.
Underneath, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 paired with a dedicated RedCore R4 gaming chip adds 2K super-resolution and smart power management, while the Energy Cube 3.0 engine allocates resources by game scenario for a further 40% performance uplift. You get up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The 9.06-inch 2.4K OLED runs at 185Hz with 1,600 nits peak brightness and thin 4.9mm bezels. A custom Synaptics touch chip delivers instant sampling up to 2,000Hz and stays responsive even with sweaty hands. The 8,300mAh battery charges at up to 75W over dual Type-C ports, with two-way reverse charging, and REDMAGIC’s lab tests show 9.09 hours of Genshin Impact at full frame rate. Stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra, 4D haptic motors, and customizable RGB lighting round out the experience.
On the software side, Game Space offers frame interpolation up to 120 FPS with 2K upscaling and plug-ins like a customized crosshair and motion-sensing controls. It also adds AI tools including Tactical Coach for strategy advice in Delta Force, Performance Review for skill analysis in MLBB, and Mora Mouthpiece for in-game voice chat. Gravity X lets you plug the tablet into a monitor for keyboard-and-mouse mobile gaming.
The body is slim and flat with no camera bump, using an aviation aluminum frame and glass-accented back, at 363g and 6.9mm thick. It has IP54 dust and water resistance, fingerprint and face unlock, and Bluetooth 6.0.
