The REDMAGIC 12 Pro has officially arrived in Malaysia, featuring powerful performance, top-tier cooling, and a high refresh-rate display better than most on the market.
It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, built on a 2nm process with CPU speeds up to 5GHz, plus a dedicated RedCore R5 gaming chip and a G1 display control chip. REDMAGIC’s Energy Cube 4.0 coordinates the lot, and the R5 handles touch optimization, lighting control, rendering acceleration, super-resolution, and super-frame technologies for smoother, lower-latency play.
Meanwhile, the screen is a 6.85-inch 1.5K BOE X11 display that hits 185Hz on an under-display true full-screen design, which REDMAGIC says is an industry first. The ninth-generation under-display camera tucks the front camera beneath the panel, and 0.96mm bezels leave you with an uninterrupted view. Brightness reaches 1,900 nits globally and 5,000 nits locally, a Synaptics touch chip supports instantaneous sampling up to 5,000Hz (500Hz average), and wet-hand touch support keeps it responsive with damp fingers.
Cooling is the other headline. AquaCore Cooling System 3.0 pairs dual-loop liquid cooling with a 25,500 RPM turbo fan, an upgraded vapor chamber, and Liquid Metal 4.0. A new dual-crystal micro-pump delivers up to 130kPa of pressure, 85% more than the last generation, while drawing as little as 20mW, and fans asked for something fun, so the liquid cooling now has RGB lighting. The redesigned vapor chamber increases effective cooling area by 15% and thermal conductivity by 50%, and the fan’s reinforced shaft improves durability by 30%.
The 8,400mAh battery is 12% bigger than the 7,500mAh unit in the 12 Pro’s predecessor, yet the phone slims down to 8.5mm from 8.9mm. It supports 80W wired and wireless charging, plus bypass charging to keep heat down when gaming on power. The transparent rear shows off the cooling hardware with dynamic RGB, the body is flat with no camera bump, and it carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, with the fan area rated IPX8.
Other highlights include dual symmetrical speakers with Dolby Atmos, 520Hz shoulder triggers, a 360-degree omnidirectional antenna system, Wi-Fi 7, USB 3.2 Gen 2, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, dual SIM, NFC, and an infrared blaster. Cameras are a 50MP main with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 16MP front camera.
On the software side, REDMAGIC OS 12 runs on Android 17, with a Gaming AI companion that offers text and voice help, Tactical Coach for real-time strategy tips, and a Low-Engagement Play feature that organizes daily tasks for games like Mobile Legends, Genshin Impact, and Honkai: Star Rail. It also supports PC game emulation, Steam access, and streaming from compatible PCs and consoles, with Google Gemini built in.

The REDMAGIC 12 Pro goes on sale in Malaysia on November 10 with special promotional prices during the 11.11 sales.
