We all knew that the Tomb Raider Reborn game is about the events prior to what we know Tomb Raider is today, as in back in the days when she was still an archeologist – not a tomb raider yet.
Darrell Gallagher, the studio head of Crystal Dynamics, said that :
“It was important for both of us to have a cohesive version of the franchise,” Gallagher said. “We didn’t want to see a film version that was a continuation of the old ‘Tomb Raider’ films.”
This is however still a rumour, but I do hope that Hollywood doesn’t butcher up this magnificently made game into a typical money-printing, soulless movie featuring hot jocks and sexy ladies alone as their selling point like most movies in the silver screen does nowadays.
The new Tomb Raider Reborn voice actor Camilla Luddington is also an actress, but Lara’s face was not made based on hers, which might toughen the decisions of the big bosses.
However it is, only time will tell if a Tomb Raider Reborn movie will see the light.
