Last week, Acer announced the brand new set of Chromebook Plus laptops globally, providing more modern computing power to tackle even more tasks within a simple and easy-to-use package.
With a better set of hardware, these Chromebook Plus devices can easily process Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Express on their own (buyers even get 3 months of Express Premium for free!) or for the Google ecosystem enthusiasts, Google Photos’s Magic Eraser removes unwanted subjects in a matter of seconds.
As for stuff under the hood, the 515 hosts a 13th or 12th Gen Intel Core CPU with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB of PCIe storage providing responsive feedback, fast and efficient processing speed, and long-lasting battery life. On the other hand, the 514 goes for the AMD Ryzen 7520-C instead.
Meanwhile, the 515 gets a 15.6-inch FHD display with optional touch input for the touch-reliant people while the 514 gets a better treatment thanks to the WUXGA 16:10 panel.
Regardless of which model, they both come with a 1080p webcam with TNR and Blue Glass lens together with a shot of AI juice that enhances lighting, clarity, and grain reduction so you can always look the best to other attendees.
Oh, there’s also the physical webcam if you need some privacy while the one-click mic+webcam off button will “defend” you on the logical layer.
And like any available Chromebook from Acer, they can be configured to access the Education or Enterprise upgrade packs for an expanded set of capabilities designed for the respective community.
Price and Availability
While there’s no Malaysia price yet, at least we know that both of them will start from USD399.99.
