Acer has announced that a brand new sub-series of its Swift family of laptops are coming in near future and that’s the Swift Go lineup.
The debuting members of this new series are rightly named the Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14 with their core highlight aspect being the exquisite OLED screen at 16-inch 3.2K 120Hz or 14-inch 2.8K 90Hz respectively. Both panels are certified with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 standard, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 500 nits peak brightness, and low blue light emission.
Judging from the performance scale, they are on the lighter spectrum despite running a 13th Gen Intel Core H series mobile CPU since it doesn’t have a discreet GPU to keep it thin and light. Memory configurations can go as far as 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD and 16GB LPDDR5 RAM.
Both devices are Intel Evo Platform certified which means it is fully prepped for white-collar use and they also include the new Intel Movidius VPU to drastically improve video-related workloads via AI while Intel Unison lets you seamlessly connect your iOS and Android devices with your Windows laptop.
For the ports, you can find Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and a microSD card reader as the main focus while interesting stuff includes the 1440p webcam with AI denoiser, microphone voice capture with smart noise reduction, and Automatic Framing – extremely useful for the people who need to attend online conferences frequently.
On the other hand, the 2023 edition of the Swift X 14 is the powerhouse representative of this category as the 13th Gen Intel Core H series mobile CPU + up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU with NVIDIA Studio verification makes it one of the most accessible professional-class mobile workstation of this year.
Running a 14-inch OLED display at 2.8K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, you can easily game and work with this machine with ease. The 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification is just the icing on the cake. The I/O ports are decent as well with USB-C, HDMI 2.1, and a microSD card reader to boot.
Lastly, the Swift 14 is going for the “nice to see and nice to hold” premium direction as the CNC aluminum chassis in Mist Green or Steam Blue will make the user pop out from the crowd. It is also geared towards the business elites at most as the 13th Gen Intel Core H series mobile CPU does the processing job on its own.
The special thing here is the display coming with it that is touch-enabled and one can opt for either 1920×1200 or 2560×1600. Adding a 1440p webcam with TNR technology and Windows Hello support, enhanced speakers with DTS Audio plus 2x Thunderbolt 4 and 1x HDMI 2.1 ports, you get a well-crafted and balanced laptop ready to be your daily driver starting this year.
