Liked the new Acer Aspire laptops at CES 2024 but wanted something thin and light? Then take a look at these newly refreshed Acer Swift series of laptops.
Let’s take a look at the new Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14 first. Equipped with the new ‘Meteor Lake’ Intel Core Ultra processors, the Intel Evo-certified duo rocks a crisp OLED display with 3200×2000 + 120Hz (16-inch) and 2880×1800 + 90Hz (14-inch) panel as the basis plus 500-nit peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. Touch screen gang can even opt for optional touch at the side.
For memory, they can be fitted with up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD in addition to a wide range of I/O ports including Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and microSD reader. Loving your pair of TWS? Then the built-in Bluetooth LE Audio will keep power consumption low and connection strong.
The all-day battery life gets up to 12.5 hours for the 14-inch or 10.5 hours for the 16-inch so you can skip bringing the brick along all the time while the 1440p webcam with TNR and Acer PurifiedView enables higher quality online video calls with features like Background Blur, Automatic Framing, and Eye Contact.
A similar tech is used for the audio department through Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0 but on the other hand, Intel WiFi 7 delivers super-fast Internet speeds for downloading and streaming content.
Notable points that you may want to look out for include the OceanGlass touchpad with 44% larger scrolling plus, Intel Unison 2.0 support, Windows Copilot, and more.
Power users like content creators, engineers, or just maybe gamers who prioritize form factor over performance will like the new Acer Swift X 14.
Hosting an H-series Intel Core Ultra processor with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, combines the power of both the integrated NPU and raw GPU power for all sorts of 3D rendering, video editing, live streaming, and more. Memory options are pinned at 32GB LPDDR5X and 1TB PCIe 4.0 at max.
The laptop is also NVIDIA Studio-validated with pre-installed NVIDIA Studio Drivers for actual industrial professionals and yes, it also has the dedicated Copilot key.
As for the display, it is a brilliant 14.5-inch 2.8K 120Hz OLED panel with Delta E<2 color accuracy together with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, and 500-nit peak brightness. The ambient light sensor will smartly adjust color temperature for additional eye comfort.
The rest of the package is pretty standard – a 1080p webcam with TNR, Acer PurifiedView, Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0, a tri-array microphone, and more.
One more point, the thermal solution is pretty beefy too as it has a large fan, dual D6 copper heat pipes, and a dedicated air inlet keyboard to capture all the airflow it can.
