Lo and behold. The latest gaming smartphones from ASUS ROG – ROG Phone 7.

Shiny new ROG Phone 7 series announced with base and Ultimate versions; To arrive in Malaysia at May 10 1

In contrast to past releases of having several different models, the Lucky 7 gets only two tiers – the base ROG Phone 7 and the buffed ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. But let’s go through what’re the similar specialties for both of them.

Crafted for the absolute mobile gaming experience, the twin front-firing speakers are now 50% louder than previous and pack 77% stronger bass, and with the AeroActive 7 cooler’s 5 magnets, both ROG Phone 7 models can hook up with a 3.5mm headphone to fully utilize the Dirac Virtuo For Headphone’s spatial audio capability and turning on your hunter sense for tracking enemies.

ROG Phone 7 Series 3

A couple of new software-based features have been added as well such as the X Sense function highlighting key onscreen events with a pop-up notification and X Capture that acts as an automatic “Play of the Game” recorder. The renowned AirTrigger is optimized to be better now with Dual Action, Press and Lift, and Gyroscope Aiming being the bread and butter on top of 10+ motion controls and X-axis linear motor for superior feedback.

ROG Phone 7 Series 2

Powered by the top dog Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the thermal solution of the ROG Phone 7 has been improved to compensate for that via the GameCool 7. In short sessions, Boron Nitride on one side of the CPU is capable of holding it back. But for mid to long sessions, vapor chamber and graphite sheets will enter the fray.

ROG Phone 7 Ultimate

A more sophisticated one was given to the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate thanks to the AeroActive Portal that opens up an air inlet the moment the AeroActive Cooler is attached to consistently deliver airflow onto the SoC which can reduce temperatures by up to 20%.

And for everything else, all of them are basically the best-in-class stuff – premium screens, high memory capacities, big batteries, etc.
