NGO Gorgeous Geeks, well-known for their efforts in empowering women through technology, recently commemorated their 15th anniversary in the tech industry.
The organization’s primary mission is to encourage the integration of technology into women’s daily lives. The celebration was graced by notable figures such as Datuk Yasmin Mahmood, Managing Partner at Future Ready Consulting, Anne Abraham, founder and Chairperson at LeadWomen, along with TPr. Wee Huay Neo, Advisor at PIKOM E-Commerce Malaysia, and Datuk Ng Wan Peng, Director at Digital Penang.
However, the event wasn’t just about reflecting on their journey and experiences; Gorgeous Geeks also gave back to the community by donating a total of 10 laptops to four charities that serve underprivileged children. These charities included Dignity for Children Foundation, House of Joy, Yayasan Sunbeams Homes, and Community at Heart.
Beyond supporting the less fortunate during the digital age, Gorgeous Geeks remains dedicated to equipping women with essential tech skills and knowledge through various activities, programs, and contributions.
Their impact has been significant, with more than 3,000 women from 8 cities participating in a diverse range of events, workshops, and conferences. Remarkably, 100% of the attendees expressed positivity and gained valuable digital knowledge upon completing their respective courses.
