While already an active member in the community of providing help for the less unfortunate, Grab has revealed their latest commitment to helping the OKU gang which is the GrabAccess.
Announced together with their partnership milestone with the Malaysian Federation of the Deaf (MFD) and Persatuan Pemandu e-Hailing OKU Fizikal Malaysia (PPEOFM) over at a simple tea party, GrabAccess is created to address issues faced by PWDs by providing equal access and support for them to become a partner donning the green outfit regardless as a driver, delivery or merchant partner.
With roughly 15% of the world’s population suffering from at least 1 form of disability, Grab felt the responsibility to scale up the support towards marginalized communities and really just anyone that needs some help to survive in this world.
The GrabAccess program was launched during the #BreakTheSilence gathering, with this year’s repeat being the 5th time. With more than 2,100 PWDs earning income via Grab, the company aims to double that figure by 2025.
