Standing side-by-side with the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini during the yearly launch of Apple’s latest smartphone is none other than the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Compared to the standard models, the first thing super noticeable is the 120Hz refresh rate display, Super Retina XDR with ProMotion. Yes, the poor standard and mini models don’t get the high refresh rate properties yet again. Aside from that, the Pro models maintain the quadruple rear camera setup but all the lens alongside accompanying software has been improved and optimized, particularly in low-light mode thanks to the larger sensor capturing more light compared to the last generation up to 92% improvement. The new 77mm telephoto camera adds extra icing to the cake by providing a super crisp image quality when taking zoomed photos.
For the computing parts, both Pro models use a more powerful version of the A15 Bionic chip with a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU (4-core for the standard/mini), and 16-core Neural Engine so while the overall user and AI processing power should be as close as possible, the extra core in the GPU should enable a better gaming experience and also due to the larger resolution, that core is essential to churn out more pixels at a stable frame rate.
